Books on my Journey 1
And I feel like sharing when that happens –
Recently,
I’ve been reading several books for the purpose of changing my
thinking, expanding my thinking outside the boxes that exist in my mind,
my niche, my industry.
And I’ve gotten tons of ideas 🙂
To follow along on the journey, you’ll want to read them all 🙂
Or maybe just pick one and go from there –
I’ll try to comment on each:
I read this on my vacation last week:
Essentialism: http://www.amazon.com/Essentialism-The-Disciplined-Pursuit-Less/dp/0804137382
This
talks about focusing on what’s really important and doing only that –
instead of using time management to do more and more –
Last
night I read this book, great for understanding WHY you need downtime
(he explains the physical process in the brain, and intuitively how it
works, high recommended reading:
http://www.amazon.com/Chaos-Imperative-Disruption-Innovation-Effectiveness/dp/0307886670/
This afternoon I read this book, it’s a great primer (using a story) about how to create an environment of creativity:
http://www.amazon.com/CIRQUE-DU-SOLEIL-SPARK-Igniting-ebook/dp/B000GCFBOC/
And in the last few weeks, I’ve read these:
http://www.amazon.com/StoryBranding-TM-2-0-Second-Stand-Out/dp/1626340315/
that’s the story of how to use story to brand . . ..
and http://www.amazon.com/Creativity-Inc-Overcoming-Unseen-Inspiration/dp/0812993012/
That’s the story of Pixar and illustrates how to create a creative environment
To your success, and happy reading!
